Chapter Volunteer Positions

Volunteering with the Chapter is a valuable way to 1) utilize your skills to enhance the protection of the Greater Houston Community’s critical infrastructure, 2) develop leadership skills, and 3) gain new skills through the Chapter’s multi-disciplinary collaboration. NOTE: volunteer positions are only open to InfraGard Members. The following IHMA Chapter positions are open:

Position: Deputy Chief Membership for the Coastal Bend CSC

  • Reports to: Coastal Bend CSC Chief
  • Position Description: this position promotes active recruitment of new CSC members and provides a welcome message informing new members of opportunities to engage in the CSC.

Position: Content Writer – Newsletter

  • Reports to: Communication Committee Newsletter Editor
  • Position Description: prepares and submits their own written content, providing value to Chapter Membership through publication utilizing various Chapter media. This content will be based upon guidance provided by the Newsletter Editor, may cover a broad range of physical security- and cybersecurity-related topics, and must be in compliance with the established publication parameters.

Position: Committee Ambassador

  • Reports to: Director Communications Committee
  • Position Description: represents the Committee at various Chapter events (i.e. quarterly Chapter Membership Orientation, Chapter Meetings, etc.) for the purposes of socializing the Committee’s purpose, value, and volunteer recruitment needs.
